Communication Arts 2017 Illustration Competition Shortlists Lakeshore/Invada Album Artwork

Congratulations to Illustrators Emma Bergin and Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir, and to Lakeshore’s Art Director John Bergin for being selected to the Communication Arts 2017 Illustration Competition Shortlist for their album artwork on Lakeshore Records’ co-release (with Invada Records UK) of the Captain Fantastic and Mr. Robot soundtracks, respectively.  Nearly 4,000 submissions this year have been shortlisted to 1,258 this week.

Vehlinggo Interviews Lakeshore Art Director John Bergin: The Man Behind the Things You Love

The milestone comes after a long career that has seen Bergin draw for the pages of Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and Heavy Metal. He’s released respected albums with his various bands, including Trust Obey. He’s designed vinyl album packages for the likes of the recent Drive fifth anniversary special edition vinyl and Mr. Robot, among hundreds more.

 

Vehlinggo recently interviewed Lakeshore Records Art Director John Bergin, who, besides being responsible for the album art on the most important soundtracks in recent history, this multi-disciplinary artist with a storied history in music just released his new EP, Crash & Burn.  Read the full interview at Vehlinggo.

Critics’ Choice Awards: Vote For ‘Bates Motel’, ‘Mr. Robot’ and ‘Stranger Things’ – Most Bingeworthy Awards Nominees!

In its third year, the Critics’ Choice Awards has invited fans to vote for their Most Bingeworthy show, and this year, Bates Motel (A&E), Mr. Robot (USA Network) and Stranger Things (Netflix) are nominated!  Voting begins Thursday, November 17, and ends at 9:30 p.m. ET on the night of the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards live broadast on December 11.  More details at A&E online.

Emmy®-nominated Bates Motel score by Chris Bacon, Emmy®-winning Mr. Robot score by Mac Quayle, and the Billboard #1-charting Stranger Things album, score by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, are out now on Lakeshore Records!
