‘Mandy’ Lyric Video: Jeremiah Sand ‘Amulet Of The Weeping Maze’ | Flaunt Magazine

Be sure to note how the eerie sounds Johannsson created set the scene for the horror that is the film Mandy. – Flaunt Magazine

The song, “Amulet Of The Weeping Maze” offers a lens into the villain Jeremiah Sand (Linus Roache), the cult leader that would go head to head with Nicolas Cage’s Red Miller.  The song appears in Mandy (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), and was the debut track that Lakeshore Records released early this year when the film headed to Sundance.  Flaunt Magazine reveals more about the film’s soundtrack, which features score by the late Johann Johannsson, who actually started working on the score as far back as 2016.  More on that and the full Lyric Video to “Amulet Of The Weeping Maze” is available now exclusively at Flaunt.

͞FINALLY HERE LYRICS

V1When I was young I chased the sun and tried to reach the stars /
and tackle all of my fears /
I tried so hard to hide from life and cover up my scars /
Searching far and wide, for a place that͛s been right here /

I thought I’d cross the county line and leave this all behind me /
Give my dark days to the past /
I’d wait under the bright big lights so fame could come and find me /
But I lost my way ’cause light moves a bit too fast /

CHORUS
I’ve always longed for spring in the middle of July /
Or dreamt of mountain tops while standing on the pier /
And nowhere͛s felt like home, and now I know why
’cause I’m finally here, I’m finally here

V2
I’ve always heard life’s too short, I hope I’ve got some time /
I’ll make it right before it ends /
If home is where the heart is, I have always broken mine /
But now I’m trying hard, to make amends /

CHORUS
I’ve always longed for spring in the middle of July /
Or dreamt of mountain tops while standing on the pier /
I’ve never had a homecoming like this and now I know why /
’cause I’m finally here, I’m finally here
’cause I’m finally here, I’m finally

Let’s Play
Rob Simonsen & White Sea

we go head first just see how it will feel
if we close our eyes it almost isn’t real
they light us up
so they can go and tear us down
they want our tears
but they offer up a crown

oh you’ve got a lot of nerve
thinking you can win
I can tell you’re not the type to lose
You’ll get what you deserve
the real deal touch
can never get enough
So let’s play

There’s no time to waste though the day feels long
If you think the world will wait for you you’re wrong
Visions of a neon sky
a prize for us
Just a myth
fool ourselves
just give it up

In the heat of the night I feel their lights
they’re calling
I’m like a moth to the flame
but in the heat of the night you echo like a warning
We won’t be the same

But I just can’t give it up
my back is to the wall
I know I’m falling

I just wanna live it up
Higher is the high
we go till morning

How could we get through summer without a wet and wild Sharknado epic?  Beat the heat and sing along to the cool and killer “Shark Fight” song performed by Dave Days from the Sharknado 3 Soundtrack.  Song lyrics included below!

Lyrics:

It’s getting dark outside
Wind’s pulling in the tide
Running through the streets the people are scared
Nobody’s safe they’re everywhere

We will not surrender
We are left with only one option

We fight
Through the days and the nights
And there’s chance that
They will swallow us tomorrow
But not tonight
Tonight we fight

You’re on a joy ride
No one is safe tonight
Your eyes are peeled to the road
But they’re coming form above and you don’t know

We fight
Through the days and the nights
And there’s chance that
They will swallow us tomorrow
And tear us apart
But not if we fight
Like we were born to die
And there’s a chance that
They will swallow us tomorrow
But not tonight
Tonight we fight

We fight
