1. Black Mirror (Netflix)

6. The Expanse (Syfy)

The futuristic world based on the New York Times best-selling novel series, “The Expanse” is written by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, known collectively by their pen name, James S.A. Corey.  One of the most critically-acclaimed TV series, described by NPR as the “Best science fiction show in a decade,” Clinton Shorter’s score has also received critical acclaim from members of the film music community.  “I get chills from the Opening Credits sequence every time.” (Always Sometimes Villains).

8. Legion (FX)

The Marvel Television and FX Network production has captivated audiences from Dan Stevens’ powerful turn as Professor X’s progeny, to Aubrey Plaza’s delightful multi-layered “Lennie”, to Jeff Russo’s Pink Floyd-tinged score.  “It’s jarring, sometimes scary stuff, but the empathy that ultimately runs through the soundtrack makes this journey to the dark side of the mind worth the fright.” (Tirhaka Love, MTV)
