Directed by John Erick Dowdle, No Escape stars Owen Wilson, Lake Bell, Sterling Jerins, Claire Geare and Pierce Brosnan, in theaters Wednesday, August 26 (find a theater).

My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James shared a supremely chill new track he contributed to the soundtrack for No Escape, an upcoming John Erick Dowdle film starring Owen Wilson, Lake Bell, and Pierce Brosnan. The song, “Take Care of You,” starts slow and reserved, but even when it gears up in the second half, remains warm and comforting, as one would except the jam-rock guitarist. Stream it via Pitchfork.

“Take Care of You” opens with guitar notes that fall like sporadic rain drops through the hazy atmosphere. Drums push heavy into the ground as they lift the song up into the kind of soaring psychedelic-indie rock blend MMJ fans are well versed in. All the while, James delivers the touching message, “‘Cause I know there’s a bad, bad, bad way things could go/ Then I know/ Well, I know, know, know I’d take care of you.” –Consequence of Sound

“The twangy alt-country tune shifts from a moody to anthemic in the second minute.” –Diffuser
